After graduating with First Class Honours in Biochemistry and qualifying as a dentist in 2014, James has developed particular interests in Smile Makeovers, Worn Teeth Rehabilitation, Invisalign® and Dental Implants.
By combining advanced digital dentistry with minimally invasive techniques, James takes a holistic approach to treatment, helping patients achieve healthy, natural-looking smiles that function beautifully and stand the test of time.
James is married with two young daughters and a cocker spaniel who often joins him on his running adventures. Outside dentistry, he enjoys keeping active through running events, cycling, and golf. He also loves cooking, gardening, spending time outdoors, and making memories with family and friends.
James is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.
“I enjoy transforming people’s smiles and confidence through smile makeovers, with a particular interest in treating worn teeth.”
Often this involves additive composite bonding to rebuild and strengthen teeth while maintaining as much natural tooth structure as possible. By restoring function, he can also enhance appearance, creating beautiful, natural-looking smiles that patients can be proud of.
Through extensive postgraduate education, specialist-led training, international courses, and further formal qualifications, James has developed experience in planning and delivering complex full-mouth rehabilitations. He is experienced in carefully phasing treatment plans to achieve predictable, long-lasting outcomes, often incorporating fixed orthodontics or clear aligner therapy such as Invisalign® to position teeth ideally before restorative or cosmetic treatment.
“It is so important that we look at the mouth as a whole and ask, ‘Why has this tooth become damaged, and how can we prevent the same thing happening to another tooth in the future?'”
James also enjoys providing dental implant treatment to replace teeth which are missing. Using advanced digital workflows, including 3D CBCT imaging, virtual implant planning, and custom 3D-printed surgical guides, he is able to place implants with exceptional precision. This guided approach allows treatment to be planned around the final restoration, helping to achieve predictable, functional, and aesthetic results while making surgery less invasive and recovery more comfortable for patients.
I believe in a holistic and preventative approach to dentistry, using advanced aesthetic, minimally invasive techniques alongside modern materials and digital technology to preserve and restore damaged or worn teeth wherever possible. By combining modern technology with careful treatment planning, my goal is to create healthy, functional smiles that stand the test of time.
I take a holistic approach to treatment, looking beyond individual teeth to understand why problems occur and how they can be prevented in the future. With function comes form and ultimately, a smile you deserve.
